KALAMA KAMP TCI 2012 – 6th-13th October
We are proud to announce our continued partnership with Dave Kalama and his team Brody Welte (Standupfitnesscom) and John Denny (Jupiterpaddleboarding.com).
After our amazingly successful Kalama Kamp in 2010 we have been working hard to make this week event happen again.
12 guests are will stay at Club Med (all inclusive) and under the guidance and tuition of the Kalama Kamp team will spend everyday working on perfecting their stand up paddling techniques in flat water and if conditions allow also on the waves!
The Big Blue team, spearheaded by Philip Shearer, will provide top of the line Naish paddle boards and paddles, dakine leashes and hydration packs, boat support for down winders and surfing, as well as years of local knowledge to compliment Dave, Brody and John's first class instruction.
The week will offer our 12 guests the BEST paddleboard instruction but also amazing mangrove ECO TOURS and BACKCOUNTRY paddle safaris as well as DOWNWINDERS and SURFING (pending conditions conducive to waves). Guest will also get the opportunity to snorkel and beachcomb.
The daily routine will follow the same format however the paddle sessions will be determined by a) ability b) weather c) pro consensus
- Daily early morning beach work outs with Dave
- Guest and Pro breakfast
- Guest transport to and from Big Blue (5 mins)
- Morning SUPaddle sessions (instruction – excursions – downwinders – waves)
- Group lunch
- Afternoon SUPaddle sessions
- Group dinner
- Hang out time
During they 6 day week there will be some down time and a day off thus schedule depending, guests
