Big Blue Unilimited offers an extremely wide range of activities. A few are land based, most are water orientated, and others transcend the two. Some of the best tours on offer are those that not only combine activities but offer a chance to see more than the casual observer and learn a bit about the many facets of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Our network of guides, transport and facilities will help you explore the width and depth of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Whether SCUBA diving or snorkeling on the reefs, kayaking in the mangroves, kiteboarding across the turquoise seas, relaxing on a beach or soaking up the history and culture of the islands.
All our eco-adventures are conducted in intimate groups of between 4 and 9, except the full day Edge of the Banks Snorkel adventure that includes up to 12 people on our 40ft power catamaran.
Heart of the Islands
Book ItBig Blue Unlimited's signature eco-tour to North and Middle Caicos embodies the philosophies of eco-tourism better than any other. It is a full day that blends exploration, relaxation, and culture. The group size is kept small and private transport is provided by boat and air-conditioned vehicle across the islands.
Begin the adventure up to North Caicos to tour the historical Wades' Green cotton plantation (managed by the TCI National Trust) and experience some native cuisine in the home of local matriarch Susan Butterfield. En route to Middle Caicos, the largest and most sparsely populated island in the chain, stop to view pink flamingos that inhabit the Flamingo Pond Nature Reserve and enjoy the views that stretch across Bottle Creek. Once on Middle Caicos explore an extensive limestone cave system that has given rise to some impressive stalactites and stalagmites and is home to a multitude of fruit bats. Drive onto the village of Conch Bar to grab refreshments and visit the handcraft co-op. This is an excellent place to pick-up quality souvenirs that directly benefits the local communities. The day is rounded off with some time to swim and enjoy the magnificent seascape at Mudjin Harbour, probably the most spectacular beach and cliff scenery of the TCI.

Big South Adventures
Book ItSouth Caicos is on the windward side of the Caicos Banks. The onshore currents bring in ocean water rich in life and nutrients that allow the coral reefs, mangrove wetlands and sea-grass beds to flourish. The natural beauty of the area is stunning. South Caicos has a fascinating history that was centered round a productive salt industry and a thriving fishing trade. The population today is just a few hundred people and the island vibe remains extremely relaxed and friendly. Big Blue continues its eco-tourism philosophy by supporting island businesses and working with local guides.
Scheduled Group Eco-tour
Big Blue Unlimited offers the full-day 'Big South Adventure' on Mondays and Fridays. A typical eco-tour involves a guided historical walk around the sleepy streets of Cockburn Harbour, an island tour in an air-conditioned vehicle, and a superb boat excursion along the wild northern cays to experience the breath-taking beaches and sweeping turquoise channels.
This intimate eco-adventure starts at 7am and includes hotel transfers on Provo, return journey to South Caicos, plenty of fresh, healthy refreshments (incl. breakfast muffins) and a seafood lunch. Alcohol not included. Min. 3 guests, max 6. Price $425pp

Custom Private Adventures
Big Blue customizes private adventures to the South Caicos region designed to suit individual interests. Transport by boat can be direct to South Caicos or more cross country via Middle Caicos. Transport by air (airplane or helicopter) can be combined with an afternoon exploring other Caicos Islands or over to Grand Turk and Salt Cay.
